I was locked out from my online account as well as a block on the card until they could confirm it was I that made a purchase at a Shell gas station in another area which I have never used (I always go to a Co-op) and this triggered the fraud department to investigate. It's all good!.

I'd call them a borderline scam. They just called asking for me by my maiden name (which hasn't been used in at least 4 years), telling me my credit card would be going to collections. The woman told me it was urgent that I provide information or they'd be pushing it through to collections. I've never had a credit card in my life. Nor has my husband. We're "if you can't afford it, you don't need it at all" people - cash on time, everytime. Nice try, though. Reported.

Yes, Chase financial is associated with Sears MasterCard, it's a legit call, they called me to notify that my credit card was active and wanted to confirm that I was the one making the purchases. This was of the result that I had not used the card for several months and then I started to use it again.
