I agree it might be a fax...why...because i've said hello two days in a row and...there was no one there. Then today I let it go to machine...no message...but the weird thing is...no fax machine sounds...just dead air.

Yeh its the hospital, just got a call, and they left a message as well (I googled the number before my cell notified me of v/m). Seems my sleep study is due up soon.

I typed in the number to find out to cause I just got a call and in fact my mom is at the general right now visiting my uncle in icu so therefore its definitly that. thanks

This phone number is for client use at the Ottawa General Hospital.    It is like a payphone, in that it is not equipped to receive incoming calls, but patients are allowed to make calls from the hospital with it.

The number IS General Hospital; my son just called me from there on another O.G. number and said that the missed call from (613) 737-8898 was the hospital trying to let me know he was there. As Ace said in an ealier post, they use the outgoing calls line only for a variety of calls.

I also got a call from that number at 5:22 AM .....!!
I have never been to that hospital as I live on the Quebec side. This really sucks since I have nothing to do with them and still they wake me up at some random hour in the morning and leave no messages... D:
