I got this number on my cell phone, how do you block unwanted solicitations?

this no. is from conservatives asking for money.what a bad impression they are bringing to such a respected country.

I contacted the conservative party directly, concerning this number and found out that it is a company the have outsourced to for fund raising and such They do not list their number because of some lose rules do not require them to since they are not the actual party contacting you but a contractor. Slick eh. I told the very polite person at the conservative party fund raising department that i wanted my name and number removed from their lists that they give to the contractors and any person in my house hold, they did so without question and were very polite about it. I then told them to take a look at this site and see what this contractor is doing and how they are really making people angry and maybe they should realize that this contractor is not helping but hindering their goals for fund raising. Don't know if they will but they  thanked me for the feed back and said they would investigate. i would suggest to anyone else to try the same route to get of their list and let them know the are winning any votes or donations with this contractor.

F****ng telemarketers!

I get plenty of calls from this number, lucky me, I'm never around when they do call.   I'm not too crazy about the name displayed, it's just the number between double quotes:   "(613) 667-9148"   no actual name. As noted by other entries, if this is really for political contribution,  the least they can do is display the party name.   Makes it "more legit", less scam, no ?

An earlier post talks about the Conservative Party of Canada using a third party to fund raise.  I think it would be just great if all of us sent Mr. Harper a letter (you do not need a stamp) and tell him on no uncertain terms that if the CPOC uses a telemarketer who will NOT display his company's name (call display show the name the same as all the digits in the number), AND you are already a CPOC supporter you will no longer support the party.  Even if you are not a supporter give him a blast!And of course, if your MP is a Conservative, let him or her have it with both barrels!!
