I contacted the conservative party directly, concerning this number and found out that it is a company the have outsourced to for fund raising and such They do not list their number because of some lose rules do not require them to since they are not the actual party contacting you but a contractor. Slick eh. I told the very polite person at the conservative party fund raising department that i wanted my name and number removed from their lists that they give to the contractors and any person in my house hold, they did so without question and were very polite about it. I then told them to take a look at this site and see what this contractor is doing and how they are really making people angry and maybe they should realize that this contractor is not helping but hindering their goals for fund raising. Don't know if they will but they  thanked me for the feed back and said they would investigate. i would suggest to anyone else to try the same route to get of their list and let them know the are winning any votes or donations with this contractor.hope it works out .

Smart move. The fact they hung up when you offered to donate shows they're not really the Conservative Party at all. Someone is trying to make them look bad. Maybe this is what it will take for the government to put teeth in the Do Not Call Registry.

I suggest you buy an airhorn of some description and when you get one of these calls, do whatever you have to do to get in touch with a live person; when they come on the line, blast the airhorn into the phone and hang up.  If this spreads across the continent we will be able to identify the people who work for the companies that make these calls by their hearing loss in one ear.  We can then beat them to death.  

It might also be advisable to invest in hearing aid stock at the same time.
