Added them to my shaw number block list...has been helping greatly with repeat spammers!!!

If you get a call from this number is because you or someone at your house is or has been a member or donator for either the Conservative Party,  PC Party, Canadian Alliance or Reform Party.

They don't do random calls. They only call people in their list of current or former members & donators.

And if everyone in your house says they're not members, well someone's lying =)

Also, the Canadian Do Not Call List does not apply to political parties and charitable organisations, so you have to tell them to remove you from their list and never call you again.

Called this afternoon.  Loking for donations for the conservative party. I have this number blocked. Unfortunately as it is a political party we can't complain to the CRTC.. They are persistent, at least 20 times a month.

I suggest you buy an airhorn of some description and when you get one of these calls, do whatever you have to do to get in touch with a live person; when they come on the line, blast the airhorn into the phone and hang up.  If this spreads across the continent we will be able to identify the people who work for the companies that make these calls by their hearing loss in one ear.  We can then beat them to death.  It might also be advisable to invest in hearing aid stock at the same time.

Good I thought it was a collection agency.

I got a call from them on Friday.  Whocallsme was down Saturday morning ...Caller identified himself as as "Support Services" exclusively into Conservative Party of Canada market research and fund raising.  When asked, 10% of a donation would go to my local riding association, the remaining 90% to brochures, advertising, lawn signs, "that sort of thing".When asked to mail out a pledge card, he declined unless I were to pledge $25.00.  Unfortunately I did not let the call go forward to see if I would be asked for a credit card number.I sent an e-mail to my MP asking whether or not these guys are legit.  I will post any reply.
