They do have to obey the law;  if you answer and tell them to take you off their list, they have to do so within 30 days.The only "favouritism" they have is they are allowed to use your number from the do not call list to call you, but if they continue to call after 30 days of being told to remove you from their calling list, you can report them to the CRTC and they can be fined.

It's the Conservative Party of Canada, presumably looking for money.  They asked if I were "still"? a supporter of the Conservative Party, and I replied that in my opinion the Conservative Party no longer exists [with apologies to Sinclair Stevens et al]?we have only the Reform Party operating under a different name.  The caller thanked me and hung up.

Attention:i work at the call center making these calls. I am not conservative but i have to do this to make a living. If you want your name removed you have to call the conservative party of canada

I just received a call from this number. They asked for my son who has not lived here for years. I told him he was not here and could I take a message. He stated that he was from the Conservative Party of Canada. He asked me if I would take the time to answer a couple of questions. LOL!  I said okay. One question was asked. Would you ever consider voting for the Conservative Party of Canada and I said NO!He said thank you and goodbye. Ha Ha.Is this really from the Conservative Party? Phoning on a Sunday AM blocking their name?? Scam??

These people are peices of garbage and deserve every bit of disrespect heaped upon them, regardless of who they work for. I can guaruntee you the Conservative Party is not behind this though.
