They phoned several times in late 2009 looking for my husband, he was home the last time and told them we weren't interested in giving them money.  This time they asked for my daughter's name, I told the gentleman that she is 4 and to take our number off of their list.  My phone is supposed to block unknown name and numbers so I guess to get around it they have their number come up as the name.  Ticks me off to no end.

I have this number that showed up and I have not a clue whom it is.

If you happen to have two phones in your home, just hold the receivers up to each other and give them a bit of loud sqealing feedback.

People, these calls annoy me too, but it is not the Harper government calling you; it is a paid outbound calling company hired by the government.  The employees arn't that well paid; it's not that hard of a job.  If you think they are being rude to you because you don't support the conservatives, its almost gauranteed that they are simply reflecting your rudeness towards them for just doing their jobs; these callers are in no way actually associated with the conservatives by voting preference, they are only connected by employment... cut them some slack, show some composure as a Canadian, and get on with your day.
