CALLED ME AGAIN today - nothing.

My first obviously bogus call of the year (January 3, 2011 at 3:18 P.M.) was from these folks.  I missed it and they did not leave a message.  I will have to try harder.

If you get a call from this number is because you or someone at your house is or has been a member or donator for either the Conservative Party,  PC Party, Canadian Alliance or Reform Party.

They don't do random calls. They only call people in their list of current or former members & donators.

And if everyone in your house says they're not members, well someone's lying =)

Also, the Canadian Do Not Call List does not apply to political parties and charitable organisations, so you have to tell them to remove you from their list and never call you again.

Sunday morning, Nov 14, received another call from (613) 667-9148. I did not answer this time, but I understand that the Conservative Party of Canada is looking for "support" (Money). I just contacted my local MP who is a Conservative and complained about this annoying phone calls.

They never even talked just like someone stalking over the phone

Yes - It's the Conservative Party of Canada asking for money. They have been consistently calling me for months. Seven times in the lasy 2 weeks, as late as 9:20pm at night.I tried to make an official complaint, oonly to be told that Political Parties are EXEMPT!!!!! from the Laws of Telemarketeers!!! So much for the "no-one is beyond the Law" philosophy.Well - I've always voted for them but the only way that I can tell them how I feel about this nonsense is at the poling station and if they keep calling, I might just do that.And I thought the US Policical System was messed up. I guess that we are not too different in Canada if the Party in power has to depend upon donations.
