Just received a call..hung up but the person has a strong accent !....

They are calling our home number during the day and not leaving a message.  I work from home and find it very annoying as I juggle several phones as it is and although I don't answer it, it disrupts me!! If it is the Conservatives just stop calling. Why are they allowed to do this. My number is supposed to be on the do not call list

Someone with a strange accent said he  had just received a message saying that I was having problems with my computer. I answered that I had no problems and hooked up.

Usually once a week; never answer.Remember that in Canada political parties (along with charities, newspapers, survey companies, etc) are exempt from the national do-not-call list.   In theory, you should be able to answer and asked to be put specifically on the parties' do-not-call list; in practice, I'm not sure if this really works....

It would be good if the Canada Do Not Call List regulations made people give their name along with their number. Then you could make up your mind. They did not bother to leave a message.

They called asking for me by my middle name and I just told them they had the wrong number.  If I;d known who it was I might have listened to see what they had to say, but they are just wasting peoples time this way.
