You can file a complain about them at the "Do not call list" website, I did.Very suspicious, didn't say his name,didn't say why he is calling, kept on asking my last name over and over.

Received a call from this number at around 1:30 in the afternoon. Picked up the phone, nothing on the other line. *69 and was given a 613 number which I immediately recognized as an Ottawa number. I am in Vancouver so I did not follow up with the call

So sick of calls from these numbers. Was getting calls from one number 10 times a day. Put my name and number on the do not call list. Now I receive 20 - 30 calls a day from theses same types of numbers. I finally decided to have my home phone disconnected and just use my cell. Many of my friends are doing this. Seeing as the phone companies cant do anything, it will be their loss on the revenue they lose from their ex- customers.

I'm having the same issue, several calls a week, and never any one on the line when I do pick up.  When I called the number back, I was given the customer service number +1 800-378-0929, which I called, selected option 9 to be added to the Do Not Call list.  The message did indicate that your caller ID can't be blocked, and you need to call from the number you're receiving the calls on.  If this backfires, I'll let people know.

I got a call from these people too, but from a local Toronto area code (416). I asked if they had a website, as someone above had done and he gave copsforkids.com. I just looked it up; there's nothing at that domain name (it's for sale). Sounds like a fraud to me.
