Yes.  An aggressive woman caller to my number in Abbotsford, BC.  Same message -- same phone number -- same reference to this Mr Parker.  Although she sounded North American, there was just something about her voice which I found perhaps suggested the southern United States.  What I did was call Service Canada and a very helpful real live person explained that the reason I got a busy signal when trying to reach independently, a CRA number listed in the government pages of the phone book, was because they are receiving an unusual volume of calls, most likely due to inquiries about this scam.  I had heard about this a few days ago from elderly friends of mine.  Maybe someone has got hold of government information particularly relating to senior citizens.  Maybe it's someone who's got a grudge against the CRA and wants to tie up all their lines and resources!  I put a call in to the office of my local MP, International Trade Minister Ed Fast, and explained my frustration -- these are generally calls originating outside of Canada, so none of our Canadian 'do not call' lists or law enforcement agencies seem to be able to stop them.  I'm on the national 'do not call' list.  Can we not get some kind of cross-border action against these telephone thugs?

I received a phone message on July 15, 2015 from Richard Parker, Canada Revenue Agency saying that there were 3 criminal allegations with a warrant against me. I had to call immediately as its a time sensitive issue and that my property could be confiscated by the Government of Canada. I tried calling back from my home phone and could not get through. I called from my cell phone and no one answered after 10 rings. My hunch is this is a major scam. Please do not call back.

Richard Parker dit qu'il travaille pour Revenu Canada et que je dois lui verser une somme de 7000$ pour recouvrement d?impôt. Il prétend que j'ai reçu une modification d'Avis de cotisation m'informant que j'ai commis une erreur. Il me menace de poursuivre devant les tribunaux.
