Tried to call back and i get a dial tone. They call and never leave a message.

Said she was calling to conduct a customer satisfaction survey for Cogeco.

Came up as "Nanny2" on caller ID

Caller: Survey Company?

They said they were from Cogeco looking to discuss our services and satisfaction

they said they were cogeco cable, and wanted to know if i was happy with service. he was trying to get me to say yes for some reason.

Old High School friend? Bull. It is a scam.

I wonder if there is a way to find the person home phone number, who makes long distance call routed by distributel (613) 237-7000.

Hopefully, someone will answer (not me!). I'm just curious as to what genre of turd is blinking my phone now. I say "blinking" because the ringers are OFF and shall remain so! It's my answer to the variety of worthless, ineffective and expensive "DO NOT CALL" scam artists who have devised yet another way to sop up tax dollars with no effort and zero responsibility.

This number is a Distributel long distance #.  Callers are routed through this number when making long distance calls.  It is not an invalid number but a display number from their long distance provider.  

This number is used by individuals who live outside the local Ottawa area and want to make a discounted long distance call to you.
