It is a hacker that hacked into your computer. This just happened to my mother in law, they hacked her computer, put payments into her account, called her through this number which is Skype (they know her number by the hack) and started threatening that she needs to send it to India. They had also sent an email through her account to western union with her IP at the end, no one sends an email with their IP.

Caller said that they are from windows support. Asked me to go on my computer so that they can fix it. They said that I had placed a call to them and they have my computer id. When I asked him for the id he started speaking another language and hung up. Possibly Hindi or Punjabi or something like that.

Got a call from this number, it hung up. Called back and the line is always busy.

Some lady called me from (613) 233-5566 asking for some weird name at 6am. Like wtf... Most people are still asleep at that time.

This number KEEPS calling me, then hangs up. I call back, it's an out of service number. I'm guna get it blocked this is really innapropriate now.

Same here. Claims that my computer is sending malicious files and is blocking his servers.

When I asked which one out of 3 I have, couldn't tell me or the IP address

I have search thru google and it seems its some kind of a fitness research institude located at somerset st in ottawa..and they call household to have them participate on surveys like gas, fitness and so on. I got a miss call from them as well.but when i tried calling them no response.What i wrote above is my thinking after what i read on the site and i didnt speak to the person who called me.

Just got call at 7;30pm - day off - not the first time this person called - 3 rings hangs up -
It must be a telemarketer - last week ,one evening filled my answering service until there was no room for anyone else to leave a message - this person needs to be closed down

Just got a call from this number...on Canadian Thanksgiving Monday.   Same as others have described...male with east Indian accent apparently wanting to help me with issues I was having with my Microsoft pc.   So I listened a bit and he told me that a malicious program has taken hold of my pc and was infecting others.  He also mentioned that they knew it was my pc by the IP address.  So I then told him that my PC has been dead for at least 12 months and that we don't have a Microsoft PC just an iPad and a laptop running Linux.  He still tried to tap dance his way around this "mystery" and then abruptly hung up.  I should have strung him along for an hour or so just to see how much of an idiot I could make him out to be!Btw my phone display also showed the caller as 9990218883476644...

Yes answered this by accident as well.  The woman had an accent and asked me if I owned/rented? if I was married, employed .  I told her I was not comfortable answering these questions and she kept saying I need  you to help me out. I finally hung up on her and have been very careful when answering phone, always check caller ID!!
