This number appears on our call display whenever anyone from the US calls us. It seems that Telus caller i.d. isn't capable of letting us know what the actual number is....so it displays this one.That is exactly what it is..a port number of somesort.

An addendum to my above posting for others to heed just in case. Here is how the ad reads as from the posting on Craigslist in Vancouver BC. I have flagged the posting as spam and suppose that it will be removed soon enough, but I suspect it'll pop up again somewhere as scammers tend to be rather tenacious...

this number keeps on calling. anyone know what is about they call about 6 times a day. I knever anwnser cus i dont know who it is and caller id says its a private number. I call it back and sometimes it awnsers but its dead noise. or sometimes it says it cant be completed as dialed.
