UBC looking for money. Telling you how much they think is a suitable donation. Had to hang up because declining to donate just lead to a debate. Very annoying.

They keep calling. Must be donation. No message at all. Annoying

I got a call on my cell phone voicemail from this number on 1/8/09 at the equivalent of 5:21 PM Vancouver time.  No message either.

unless you belong to the negligible minority who refuse ANY medical treatment under any circumstances, you are just another self-righteous hypocrite. 'unnecessary' ?? when your family members suffer from cancer, or alzheimers or MS or who knows what else, and you see their suffering and pain, you wont be so simple minded as to brand our research (that is conducted under direct observation and approval of the CCAC, by the way) as un-necessary, and stick to tea and orange juice. people such as yourself enjoy passing scientists as maniacs with a taste for animal flesh and blood and zero morality. I guess scapegoating us is a good way of easing your own consciences and pushing the burden right off your own shoulders. just remember, darling, the next time you take a medication, its been animal tested. now, go ahead and take it, and when you're feeling better, take the time to blame us for doing your dirty work for you.

I got a call from (604) 827-4173 today, 11/7/09. the caller is a female, said her name is Joyce, a second year student from China at UBC.She pressed me hard for donation for text books. She said poor students at UBC can not afford text books and Library only has 4 text books to lend out for about 2 hours each. It sounds very strange to me with this kind of pitch for donation. I want to block this phone number. She knows our home address and phone number. I wonder where she got our personal information from? who she really is?

Ooooh I wonder if I can donate money to just be used for their animal testing labs?

the best option is to answer, decline, and then explicitly ask them to remove you from their calling list. the list may be regenerated after a while but that should by you time. good luck.
