UBC soliciting for donations.

Good point. If you were a student, as I was, there you already paid them several thousands.

UBC looking for money. Telling you how much they think is a suitable donation. Had to hang up because declining to donate just lead to a debate. Very annoying.

They keep calling. Must be donation. No message at all. Annoying

Hung up before I could answer. Caller ID says University BC.

I haven't answered...4 calls in five days

Just got in this Monday 9/17/2012 and that number (604) 827-4399 called me three times and no message. I am not at UBC or a UBC graduate, so why do I get their calls and why all the hangup calls to everyone. I am going to report it to Telus as that is where I pay all my money to to not be harassed like this. They have called me before but three times on a Monday morning come on people who harass us, stop the damn nonsense.

I know a friend who used to work as a ubc fundraiser caller, telling them you don't want to be called isn't enough. You have to say you want to be put on the no call list and not to be contacted for any "charity opportunities". They are legit though they are not trying to scam you. Some of the things they fund raise for are pretty important like funding bursaries and scholarships.

I also have been getting a lot of calls from this number in the past couple weeks. It says Private. There is never any message left. It would make sense that it is the UBC fundraiser as my wife is an alumni and they are horribly insistent (they give us credit card offers!) I Googles this number because it seemed familiar and I thought it might be someone I know but I guess it is just this dumb UBC telemarketing call... I swear, that university is more of a property and money raising institution than a school these days.

A lady call me at 5:49pm with this (604) 827-4173 phone number.She try to get my name and address.
When I asked her name and to give me phone No. so I can call her back, she hanged up.

I got a call today around 8pm. He said that he want to discuss about UBC projects because I am an alumni. I asked him to send me email with details as I don't have time to discuss. He reluctantly back off and let me hang up.

I got a call on my cell phone voicemail from this number on 1/8/09 at the equivalent of 5:21 PM Vancouver time.  No message either.
