Good point. If you were a student, as I was, there you already paid them several thousands.

UBC looking for money. Telling you how much they think is a suitable donation. Had to hang up because declining to donate just lead to a debate. Very annoying.

They keep calling. Must be donation. No message at all. Annoying

Telemarketers from UBC calling... I've checked my caller ID records and they have been calling daily. I can't believe that they're calling on a Sunday morning. I've since added the number to my call blocking list.

(604) 827-4173 is a UBC Gift Fundraising number.  Received two calls from that number, but when we answered there was no one there.

same here, have been getting multiple calls from (604) 827-4173. i don't recognize the number so i don't answer. they never leave a message. i'm a UBC grad so makes sense it might be fundraising since there's no-one else who would be calling me from this area code... however if indeed it is UBC telemarketing, it's a TERRIBLE way to get any alumni funding!

I have been receiving a call from this number everyday for the past week, usually around 8pm.  Never answered because it is UBC asking for money.  My phone number is on the do not call list (donotcall.gov) so I file a complaint everytime they call.

If you get calls from this number I recommend you also file complaints (make sure you are on the do not call list first obviously) so that this can be stopped.  Yes, they will go after international callers (so it says in the faq)

also got calls from (604) 822-9960 and (604) 827-4173 multiple times. never took the calls though and there was no message left.

(604) 827-4173 Keeps calling me, even after I politely tell them I am not interested in donations.
