UBC soliciting for donations.

Good point. If you were a student, as I was, there you already paid them several thousands.

UBC looking for money. Telling you how much they think is a suitable donation. Had to hang up because declining to donate just lead to a debate. Very annoying.

They keep calling. Must be donation. No message at all. Annoying

Hung up before I could answer. Caller ID says University BC.

I haven't answered...4 calls in five days

I got a call today around 8pm. He said that he want to discuss about UBC projects because I am an alumni. I asked him to send me email with details as I don't have time to discuss. He reluctantly back off and let me hang up.

Got a call from this number twice, but no one answered after I picked up the call.  If this is a fundraiser, then why didn't they say something and just wasted their time playing with the phone????

I'm kind of confused....

I know a friend who used to work as a ubc fundraiser caller, telling them you don't want to be called isn't enough. You have to say you want to be put on the no call list and not to be contacted for any "charity opportunities". They are legit though they are not trying to scam you. Some of the things they fund raise for are pretty important like funding bursaries and scholarships.

I have been getting calls from this number over 3 months. One time I answered but I told I would be heading out the door - so they said they would call back. It is usually after 8pm, but it was Saturday at 3pm this time around. I am an UBC alumni so it makes sense that I get calls from them. After finding out who they were, I never answer the call...........
