This call came to my cell phone, which is on the FTC's "do not call" registry, from a company called Alianza, in Utah. It was a solicitation to buy VoIP service. Even though the company is in Utah, the number on the caller ID was in the 604 area code -- British Columbia -- probably in an attempt to avoid FTC complaints for junk calls. But the law says that if the company is in the States, it's liable.
