i got one this am and it was someone speaking in mandarin, who can't even speak english.but from what is posted here, it sounds like it could be someone (or many different people) using a SKYPE.now, it could be someone (or many different people) trying to mask their identity, knowing you can't really trace them easily.first, they will pretend to be some marketing or promotional company.they get you identity, etc etc.and then in future, they got your personal info, and they will have someone called again to scam you. don't give out any personal information or even bother talking to these people.

The same issue for me , just called me now , I didn't pick up .

Got a call from this number at 6am. It just left beeps on my machine, this has happened quite a bit. I come home, and find beeps on my answering machine.Can't something be done?

Just got a call from this number. It was a cantonese-speaking woman who wouldn't say anything until I said "Hi" like five times. Then she asked for someone in my family (she actually said the name), and I said, "She's not here, who's this", thinking it was someone we know. Then the lady asked if this was home or cell phone. I said home, then she hung up...

I called the number back, but like everyone else, I just get a dial tone. :S

Yup, "(604) 629-2009" has hot me too (as of Sept 22.07).  If I follow people's comments rightly, there's practically nothing you can do about the criminals doing this. . . arg.frustrated

I'm with tele provider Primus in Vancouver, Canada. Used *67 to call block, and this number shows up as a mask. More than once.

THIS NUMBER IS NOTHING MORE THAN A MASK USED BY VIOP COMPANIES WHEN A CALLER USES *67.

This is why there are such varied results from the number. This number could be anyone.
