This number must be a switch board number, simply because I got a call from this number today and it is actually from Indeed.com. Every few weeks, one of Indeed account manager calls our company as a courtesy to check  if we need any help as we post a lot of jobs on Indeed.

So judging by all the comments on this thread, I am assuming this number is probably an outgoing number from a switchboard.

I am in Canada. My boyfriend is in the US. When he calls me through most calling cards, it comes up as this number. (Especially when he uses Clear choice or Centsible.)

Its used by people calling from Ipod touches I know cuz when my brother-in-law phones from it that shows up. So you have random people who can call from the IPod touch. if you phone the police they can get permission to find out from the company what the IP address connecting to it is. the problem is that you can use any wireless internet that isnt password protected. So I could go outside starbucks, phone you with my ipod touch (not I-phone) and harass you. lovely isn't it.

Just to clarify, anyone who calls a metro vancouver number using the Ipod touch (if they use the free application on the ipod touch) will be routed through this number. Like the guy above me said its voip caller id. this number isn't a person, its just a service that connects an internet connection to a phone (as in your telephone when they call).

I work for a large hotel chain and we have received numerous calls from this number claiming to be our Tech Support. They then instruct us to go to a website which includes our company name in the web address, the screen then goes black and a porn video pops up. The person on the phone is always extremely rude and we have now been advised to ask for a case number when they call.

I just got a call from this number... said he was doing a Rogers Wilreless promo and that I won a free phone.  I told him I wasn't interested and hung up.  I 'Google'd the phone number (604) 628-2598) and found this thread..  Just thought I'd post my experience..

I think it is a routing number in Metro Vancouver, BC for overseas calls. I just received a genuine call from my friend's land line in El Salvador, Central America to my cell phone in Vancouver and it showed (604) 628-2598.
