Might be simply internet line and telcos are using this for forwarding international calls that are placed either in North America or elsewhere in the world and routed through this number. Very often cold calling marketing companies are using the same service to fake origin of their call. Isn't that illegal? I think it is, at least in Canada. But as I said, it could be legit. Generally speaking, it is sometimes really hard to say what is it. Could be a genuine call and a telecom company is routing it because the network overcrowded. Hope this helps.

I received a call March 26th at 10:30 from my friend in Alberta, I live in the Yukon, Canada.  We talk regularly but this number has never appeared before. They called from thier land line.

This company calls all the time requesting information about the type of PCs, laptops, servers and printers in our company.  They always take what information they got from me before and use it to update their database.  And when I try and get off the phone, they always say the survey is almost done.  Very irritating, very time-consuming.

I just got a call from them at my work number and being curious I googled it and  found all this about it. Strange...
