I recieved a letter from Australian sweepstakes and airmiles survey saying I won $275,000 Along with a check for 6,700.18 for legal fees and to call and speak to a Mr. Francis Cassey. The phone # listed on the letter was (604) 349-8998 and another # with a 778 area code that was not in service

Got a letter from australian sweepstakes marketing and airmiles promotion inc.letter said I won 420000.00. Included was a check for 7840.00, and instructions to call frank brunado. I called, he said deposit the check and call him back for instructions on getting the next check. The first was to cover processing, activation, legal and federal taxes with some left over for me. I called the bank but they were not allowed to give account info to anyone without a banking institution code. I suppose I will call and tell them I deposited it and see what happens. Meanwhile, I'll just hold onto the check. If they want account info I will know it is a fraud.
