I have no idea what these f*ckwits want, as I don't owe revenue services Canada a dime(but that's who they're calling on behalf of, supposedly).

I've changed my name with Revenue Services Canada, and yet they kept using my old name, incessantly. They refuse to identify themselves, and I refuse to give them details to identify myself. From what I've gleaned from a few other numbers they've called, they're called CBV collections. A check of their better business bureau profile suggests they're scam artists.

1) DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION.
2) block the number.
3) If calls persist outside the permitted contact hours, file a law suit.
4) file a formal request, using the better business bureau's guidelines to only be contacted via writing. Demand a copy of the bill. It's probably miniscule, out of date, and/or legally uncollectible.
5) DO. NOT. GIVE. THEM. PERSONAL. INFORMATION. OVER. THE. PHONE.
6) Record calls, if needed.
7) Get a lawyer.
8) Do not follow any of these in sequential order, just pick an appropriate suggestion & Go.

Like others who qualify for MSP payment relief in BC, I had my "overdue" account sent to CBV by BC Min of Finance, because billing was reinstated when I did not file an income tax return. I endured months of no-talk phone calls from spoofed phone numbers, including this one. Many spoofed calls originate from the United States, or so it would seem. When I filed my tax return (proving I still qualify for MSP payment relief) CRA transferred my income tax return to CBV nonetheless. A "Thank You" card was left outside my window a few days later. Did anyone else experience this type of harassment? I find the comment about hacking accounts interesting because all my online accounts were hacked. More details would be nice. Is there a police file on this?

They keep calling me multiple times a day. The first time I answered, got afraid when they told me I was in debt. They asked for my personal information, I said I could not share it with a random phone number. The guy got really defensive, which made all my scam alerts go on. I asked him what address was on file, he told me (it was my old address). I said I would make sure to change my address for revenue services on the legit website so they can contact me. He was confused and hung up. I got about 27 calls in the last few days. I picked up again. The woman just straight up asked me my date of birth, and I said I want to know who is calling me before I can give out personal information. I shared what happened the last call. She said she could not proceed with the call without my personal information, I said I could not give personal information out if I don't verify who is calling. She said: ok then, and hung up. No way any legitimate business would ever act like that. There should be a way to prevent them from calling, this is outrageous.

CVB Collections Vancouver BC. They call us from this number, plus +1 866-887-0742 plus +1 866-887-0747 plus 887 330-2289. I have called them back and they say they will remove our number from their system as they have absolutely no connection to our household. Next time I call they have no record of our previous conversation. Have called them four times. Unbelievable harassment. Telus is no help because we don't subscribe to their call screen feature, meaning we can't block them.
