I have received phone calls from this number as well.Thank you for your posts.No message was left on my answering machine. Usually that means that it IS a scam.

they called me from a 780 area code the other day, now from this number. I got that I was specially chosen for a prize, press 1 to accept.. blah blah....

I got a call from this number, it was a reminder that my new car is due for its 12,000kms service.  I only have 6900kms on the car, so I am not taking it in.  Idiots.  I never answer it, but this is what they left on my voice mail.

I found a good way to deal with these idiots.  I leave my fax machine on.  I can see who is calling and if I don't answer the phone quickly the harassers get a nice screech in their ears.
