You can't block toll free # 800-866 ot 877

They use automatic dialers which is against the law
Report them with DNCL list. The rules are there

Once there is a few complaints they will need to pay a $25,000 fine

It is also aGAINST the law for any company to call before 9 am and after 9PM or on Sunday

Common Sense

Regardless of whether you get your statements, your payment is still due.  If you don't want to receive the calls, then MAKE THE PAYMENT! If you didn't get your statement then be proactive and call Visa to find out the due date.  It'll take you 5 minutes to call them and will prevent you from getting a call.  Or better yet, get the visa set up to come out automatically on the due date each month.  That way the minimum payment is always paid from your account and then if you want to pay more you can.  It's not the bank's problem that you didn't get your statement, it's your own.

As for the rest of you morons, TD doesn't collect for the government, they are not selling kiddie porn or insurance.  YOU MISSED A PAYMENT ... if you don't have an account at TD, call the number back and find out who they are calling for, it's possible that they have a wrong number and they will remove the number from the system and stop calling you.

The people calling are not rude and if you are having a hard time, tell them about it.  There are different ways that TD can help people out if they are having a hard time.  Being a prick to the people on the phone isn't going to make them want to be nice to you either.

it may very well be TD Canada trust, but they can't always be calling about late payments because I am not late and haven't been in a few years, and they've been calling for weeks and weeks up to 5 times a day.  The only business I do with TD is a Visa card that is rarely used.   I haven't been home much over this time period, but I see the number in the call display an unbelievable amount of times. Today I'll use call blocking on the number and put an end to it.  It is indeed a number from Ontario, my caller ID tells me so.I suspect the number is generic for them and their insurance salesman are trying to sell me insurance.  My husband was harassed by these types of sales calls for months from a cc company after he got a new Master Card years ago, and same thing they would call so many times a day at all hrs.  Finally he got very angry with one of them (and they never speak good english) and told them to remove his number and never call him again.  They still did, we subscribed to call blocking & blocked the numbers.I do not respond to numbers from automated callers - drives me insane when I pick up the phone and say hello and nobody is on the other end!  If I wait long enough, someone will come on but why should I wait, basically on hold for someone who calls Me?  I block these numbers as soon as I realize that is whats going on.  Call blocking is well worth the few bucks it costs per month on the phone bill!
