annoyed

Dr Green Lawn Care is among the worst and needs to be dealt with formally. Not only do they persist to call long after they've been told their service is not needed, but the people on the phone are rude and ignorant.Even if this is a real company, I wouldn't go near them with a 10 ft poll.

I have still received many calls.  I have made one more phone call to their office.  I asked them one more time to remove my number from their list.  They have promised to do so.  I have told them the I have made many inquiries have now armed myself with the final answer which is for me to report their unwillingness to remove me.  The phone number to report these people to if they do not remove my number is 1-+1 800-889-9768.  First phone them and ask to be removed.  Record the time, date and person you spoke to.  If I get one more call I will make this call and they can be given a very hefty fine for these actions.  I hope that this helps someone else.  I will let you know If I have to make that final call!!!!!

Just finished speaking to Jen(2nd Jen at the Company), Employee#7738 at 1-877-DR-GREEN (1-+1 877-374-7336), head office in Mississauga (3120 Wharton Way, Mississauga, Ontario, L4X-2C1) after receiving two telephone calls this morning from (519) 618-1100 after reassurance there would be a moratorium on telemarketing calls to my home after 5 pm yesterday.  See my previous post from yesterday.I advised her that there was widespread discussion over the Internet and thought given to launching a Class-action complaint through the Better Business Bureau, Commissioner for Complaints for Telecommunications Services (see previous post with a hyperlink to http://www.ccts-cprst.ca ), as well as the Consumer Protection Branch of the Government of Ontario, Ontario Ombudsman, etc. as well as consideration of enforcement through legal means (ie. legal action) against Dr. Green Lawn Care.I have already filed a complaint with the Commissioner for Complaints for Telecommunications Services with the following reply:"Thank you. Your incident tracking number is: 99010100004233. Please record and retain this number for future reference. The complaint process begins the next business day after we receive and analyze your complaint."I recorded the conversation and also advised Jen that I was doing so (very much like their standard intro message preceding my dialogue to Jen stating that my conversation was being recorded by them)I gave her my first name and telephone number. She informed me that she would be speaking to her Manager immediately and calling the Cambridge Office to ensure I do not receive any further calls.  I asked who her manager was and she replied it was Patricia but hesitated to give me her last name when I asked for it. She then checked with her Manager to see if it was OK to give her last name and after checking, informed me that her Office Manager's last name was SOBEL (ie. Patricia Sobel).  I also asked for the President/CEO of the company and was advised that her name was Lorraine van Aastrecht (spelled for me by Jen).  I asked Jen if she needed the employee number of the other Jen, she declined and said there were only 2 Jens in the company. Here is more information on this company:http://800notes.com/articles/News.aspx/9H3qdckOjQDusAjKSBp--AI have already signed up with the following Do Not Call service  through the CMA (Canadian Marketing Association) which ought to be valid till Sep 2008 when Bell apparently handles the watered down Do Not Call Registry (since they lease lines/800 services to these companies and Telemarketing is revenue for them; it's even more farcical that they charge end-users for blocking this service - perhaps they ought to be legally challenged for charging for this service which is their creation - sounds like conflict of interest - kind of like a doctor owning a Pharmacy and telling patients they need this or that medicine to be purchased only at their Pharmacy)You may remove yourself from mail/fax/tel call lists from member organizations that are a part of the Canadian Marketing Association:http://www.reddotcampaign.ca/I am sure that many others are not a part of this organization since Phone Lists can be harvested with web crawlers and PhoneCDs that are readily available in the marketplace.Good luck to the rest of you.  Hopefully you will follow my own example of proactively creating an auditable paper trail (in a public forum like this) of your experiences.  You can create a lot of paperwork for an unethical company by lodging formal complaints and then letting lawyers handle the "evidence".  Many lawyers would gladly work pro bono if they realized that they would go after a company and shut it down with a well-orchestrated class-action suit.

concerned

Even after requesting that you be removed from their call list, they continue to intrude into people's privacy. They are located at:3120 Wharton Way, Mississauga, Ontario, L4X-2C1and777 Laurel St., Cambridge, Ontario, N3H 3Z1 CJ (above) has the right idea... nothing illegal, but they should be confronted directly, preferably by the police or other concerned authorities.Avoid doing business with DR Green Lawn care at all costs. They are regularly engaging in unethical business practices.

We can deal with complaints about: Local telephone services (including calling features) Long distance telephone services Wireless telephone services Internet access services If the CCTS determines that your TSP has not reasonably performed its obligations toward you, the Commissioner may order the TSP to do certain things to resolve your complaint, within the bounds of the CCTS' Procedural Code.
