i got the call the first one in months & answered like this

Hello I've got caller ID I do not answer any 800 # or any # I don't know if the is a friend leave your name & I'll call u back.

who ever is calling hang up before i finish they don't call back

This number just called my office 4 x, wanting the senior IT person, when I hung up they called back, hung up on them again, they called back wanting to know my name, hung up, they called back - told them to stop calling. Said his name was Alan Jones, but I doubt it. Very persistent.

It happens when you log on to the Globe and Mail website. I'm American, and never got a single Canadian call until a few days after I started reading the Globe and Mail.  I can't register my number with the Canadian DNC list, so I guess I'm screwed. Meanwhile, tell your friends not to read the Globe and Mail.

Just rang on my phone in BC in the early evening.  Didn't answer.  Left an empty message.  Thanks.  I went to school once in that area code, but none of the people I knew are still there.  Was listening to a hockey game via 630CHED at the time, with that adenoidal Telus Beaver with infected nasal polyps.  Not sure which party I'd use as the ram, and which as the receptacle.

Calls but doesn't say anything.  Shut this turkey down!

Calls from organizations conducting market research, surveys, or public opinion polls are exempt from the National DNCL Rules.

Such organizations are not required to keep an internal do not call list.

These types of calls are not telemarketing calls because the caller is not asking you to purchase, lease or rent products or services.
