The # appears to belong to Bell Canada. I just spoke with them and they advised that they have no record of that #. An earlier comment mentions the call possibly originating in Florida. This is in fact possible. It was further explained that the calls were most likely made using VOIP and not the traditional DTMF Land Line system. If this is the case, they can have their outbound calls display whatever number they want on your caller ID. I was also advised to call the security dept. and speak to an investigator who has the resources to trace the origin of that call even though the scammers are not Bell customers. It's a matter of them using the Bell exchange under false pretenses such as caller ID spoofing. If I hear more after speaking to an investigator I will update this post for you all.
They have been pestering us daily now for weeks.I tried to file a complaint with the do not call registry but they would not accept my area code (250)I googled it and found the website has refused certain area codes for years now.So the "Do Not Call Registry" has effectively blocked taxpayers from bothering them! ...as we continue with taxes to pay for the website and "Service" and continue to be pestered daily!

Received a call today from this number and did not get a message left. Curious as to its origin.

called here about 5 minutes ago. I did answer it as I have relatives in the 519 exchange and I have been working on something with him over email so thought it might be him. Was a prerecorded message for credit debt. I hit the 0 repeatedly and it seemed to have killed the line so I hung up.
I'm also in Nova Scotia on Eastlink. I used the *60 option to block them from calling again.

Got a call from the same number again. The problem is not with the call but from Canada's NO CALL LIST which is the CRTC a government subsidized (your taxes) organization. This organization is a JOKE and a waste of our money. I continue to file complaints, on line, with them ,,,, they do nothing and refuse to be accountable by do not following through with the status of their actions or rather lack of action(s). What we as tax payers need to do is form an alliance and email, call, write our members of parliament at the federal level until they get tired of being interupted as we are! Maybe then and only then they MIGHT do something!!! I send copies of my CRTC complaint to themSo ARE we fed up enough to do this ....You need to decide!!!!!!!!!!.
