C'est un appel provenant d'une compagnie qui s'occupe d'effectuer des renouvellements pour des abonnements qu'on a pas renouvellé. Dans mon cas, il s'agit de la revue Protégez-vous. Mais çà peut être un autre fournisseur.

They just called me tonight representing Protegez-Vous. They had all informations found on my file with them.
They offer me to renew for 1 year and I did,
I just hope this was not an elaborate scam.

I keep getting calls from different numbers for a Nicolas Côté  and there is nobody by this name here. I`ve had this number for almost 2 years and this past month and a half I've been getting calls everday, morning , evening , weekdays weekends. I have told them several times to stop calling my number and to cross reference it with reverse look-up at Canada 411  to no avail. When I ask to talk to a supervisor.. the agent hangs up. They will not identify themselves.

Got a call on March 8th from a man claiming to be from the National Post. He knew my name, address and that I was receiving the Montreal Gazette. He was offering a promotion for both the Gazette and the National Post for $12.50 a month. From there I felt it to be fishy and played along. He asked me for my credit card number and I told him I didn't have card on hand. He said he'd call me back Monday and because I was going to be at work, that he should call my business number. He said ok then hung up. I called the Gazette who found this to be strange and that they didn't know of any promontion nor were they familiar with the phone number. BEWARE! This is totally a scam artist!

This Phone number (514) 876-1674  keeps calling me several times a week and I don't know who it is, tonight i even answered and they knew my last name and I sais yes then they hung up... they never leave a message and they sounded drunk or stoned and I am tired of it.. Stop calling if it is not for a reason.

Actually called and said they were from the government. When I called back it said the mailbox for Clientele was full.

The company is called Compagnie Clientèle.  They are telemarketers.  I my case, they were calling on behalf of the La Presse Paper.  I called La Presse to make sure I am now on the do not solicit list.

Note that they do business with many companies, so they might be calling you for another product.
