C'est un appel provenant d'une compagnie qui s'occupe d'effectuer des renouvellements pour des abonnements qu'on a pas renouvellé. Dans mon cas, il s'agit de la revue Protégez-vous. Mais çà peut être un autre fournisseur.

They just called me tonight representing Protegez-Vous. They had all informations found on my file with them.
They offer me to renew for 1 year and I did,
I just hope this was not an elaborate scam.

The company is called Compagnie Clientèle.  They are telemarketers.  I my case, they were calling on behalf of the La Presse Paper.  I called La Presse to make sure I am now on the do not solicit list.

Note that they do business with many companies, so they might be calling you for another product.

I need to know who or what company this is contacting me for a debt

The phone number (514) 876-1674 called on December 8th, 2007 at 10:51am (Did not leave a message) and again on December 11th, 2007 at 7:25pm (There was a message on my answering machine, but the person did not say anything and then just hung up, there was just background noise that I could hear, sounded like music).I decided to call the number (I blocked my number of course before I called), it just continues to ring and then a voicemail service comes on and the person says the voicemailbox belonging to... and the name is something like "Clientel" (in a man's voice) is full and to hung up.I hope this person does not call back, seems like he is just bothering people. If he calls back, perhaps I will report him to the police.

Got that call tonight, but didn't answer. Do I can't add much.

I often see this number on my caller id but never answer.  I did tonight they asked for my full name, I said they must have the wrong number and then they hung up.  Hopefully that will be the last from them.  I'm quite sure it's telemarketing or some crap like that.
