There was a foreign sounding woman who knew my name. She asked if I was the same person who worked for xxxxx (company name). She said she was from DHL and needed to confirm this before emailing me details of a consignment. As soon as i acknowledged she hung up.

Whats the scam angle here?

Also got a call: they wanted my cell phone number. I told the girl, Emily, she was not getting it, and that I found her aggressive. I was just about to ask her what company she was from when she hung up. Minutes later she called my cell number anyway, I recognized the voice, and she asked me if it was I she was speaking to. I confirmed, she hung up.

got a call and they knew my name ...they verified my name and disconnected!! I am worried about they knowing my name!

Same happened to me a few minutes ago. Some hardly understandable guy started telling me stuff and asking questions, couldn't make up what he was talking about, I hung up. He somehow knew my name. Don't know what to think of it. I live in Belgium, but use a Dutch cellphone.
