Received an automated call from what appears to be a 514 area code number. Message says that I have been selected due to my recent flight on Air Canada. I haven't flown the airline in over a year. The end of the message asks me to press 1 to continue (out of curiosity I did). A live agent comes on to screen the call and asks if I am at least 30 and have a valid major credit card. Once confirmed, I then get transferred to an agent who then reads a script about a $30K value trip for $999 (for a family of 4). He mentioned that the company was Global Group Travel. His pitch was a 6 day 5 night all inclusive (except flight) to a Villa Del Palmar resort in Mexico, plus an 8 day 7 night cruise (for 2). Again, all for only $999 USD. Then he asks for a credit card to reserve, but says that you have 18 months to use! That's when I finally ended the call.
