I am a bilingual Anglophone living in Montreal and Groupe Somitel is a telemarketer selling subscriptions to Francophone only newspapers and magazines. Every few months I receive 3-4 calls per day for 3-4 weeks from (514) 789-1571. If I answer in English I get hung up on immediately. If I answer in French the caller begins the sales pitch in French. If I say I do not speak French the caller either hangs up immediately or tells me in French that someone will call me back and then hangs up. I have spoken in fluent French to at least 6 callers and explained that I do not read French well enough to justify a subscription. The caller is agreeable but the calls keep continuing!!! I am on the no-call list. It does not help.
