Warning on the Do Not Call List... Here is how it works.  

The List is created and then circulated to Telemarketing Companies telling them that they must purge their lists of these numbers.  That is fine EXCEPT, many of the Call Centre's are incorporated outside of Canada and can dance around the rules.  Instead, what they have is a bona fide list of active phone numbers and boom, you get 20 times the number of calls.  I got no calls on my cell phone until I unwittingly added my home phone to the DNCL and then thought I might as well add my cell... the flood gates opened!!!  

This is my WARNING to people who have not put their numbers on the DNCL....DONT!!!

This number - They called me today! !...I did not answer! They did not leave a voicemail!

Same call from Montreal.  I didn't answer it.

I GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER I DIDNT ANSWER I WAS AT WORK RIGHT NOW THEY CALL SO I WANT TO HEAR WHO IT WAS AND HOW THEY GOT MY NUMBER SO I PRESS 1 AND A GIRL WITH A HEAVY ACCENT AND RUDE ASK ME IF I WAS OVER 25 YEARS OLD AND IF I HAD A CREDIT CARD BECAUSE I WAS GOING TO BE ASK WHEN I DO THE CHECK IN AT THE RESORT IN CANCUN MEXICO SO I ASK IS THIS CALL GOING TO BE CHARGE AND SHE WAS RUDE AND TOLD  IT WAS A PROMOTION IF I WAS NOT INTERESTED TO BAD AND HANG UP SHE HAD A LATIN ACCENT SO I DID A RESEARCH AND IS A TIME SHARE THAT THEY MAKE YOU GO AND IF YOU DONT BUY THE TIME SHARE YOU HAVE TO PAY THE VACATIONS !

this phone number called my daughter in law's phone on 6/2 she dialed it back on 6/3, it then showed up on our cell phone bill with a $50.47 charge.  I called the number to see who it was and got a message in french and then in english that the number is no longer in service.  we are now reporting it to the fraud department of our cell phone company to deal with hopefully they'll get shut down
