Don't Do It!!! I got one too. After doing a bit of research I found out that this is a very common scam, where they ask a person to wire money using a fake cheque to a specified account. Because the cheque is not real you will be responsible for paying the money from your own account. Check out the anti-fraud section of the Federal government website.
