Got a letter stated I ve won 100,000.00, but in the letter was a check for 3085.00 for expenses, like administration fees. Also stated it was affiliated with national geographic magazine sweepstakes.Basically, it's a fraud/ scam to get your checking account info. They asked me to cash this check and then in return use my checking account and give them that money to receive the hundred thousand. Basically, they check is real in a way, valid account number but bogus company name, funds are there but they some how cancell the check after you deposit it, which now you are responsible and are out of the 3085.00. The number they provide is a cell phone in Canada.
