My son just received a check $3998.00 also with an evaluation paperwork that looked legitimate.  I googled the phone numbers and seen it was from Canada.  My question is concerning the $3148.00 that the paper asks you to send via moneygram or western union, if that was the case..why didn't they send that amount themselves.  This is why banks put a 3-7 day hold on checks.

Did you contact anyone to report this scam?  I am so sorry that you lost the $3700.  How did that happen?  How did they get your 3700?

The company goes by Brown's monitoring and research group which there is no such company. (514) 221-4094 is the number they give but they state they are from minneapolis, mn. Watchout this is a scam. One of the jobs given is to send an undisclosed amount over western union to a so called coordinator. Amt would be disclosed once coordinator was contacted. Said amt would be over $1000 to determine if money gram or western union adhere to Federal Government standards. Everyone knows the western union and money gram is untraceable especially if you do not know the person you are sending money too.

I did not recieve a phone call but a letter in the mail with a check from National city bank with this phone as the company's number.  Anyway I was looking up info and I did find the address but according to the number someone says it is a scam.  I don't know Jimmy's details but because of his commit I will stay away.

I recieved that same amount of check, and I phoned the bank where it came from and they told me that I would be able to cash that check, So right away I though it was real, and then I took it to a local store where I live and I showed them my ID's n they let me cash it, now that store is pressing charges against me with fraud, all I thought at that point was wtf! I mean I phoned the bank about it and they told me it was legit, so I had no worries about it, and now I have a to go to court for it, this is the first time I have ever been charged, I have no idea what to do, but all I can do is tell the truth, cause I didnt make that check agh! I'm worried
