They called me six times now, always hanging up when I pick up, this is getting annoying because it is ringing at my work place...Do you think I can contact Bell and ask them to block this phone number?

Then why not give us your 'INFO'? And prove it.

The reason I got the company name is that I was persitent when the person called me in asking for it (as I had seen the note from angry guy, I didn't accept them saying they were Yellow Pages). I noted down the info and posted the information. I looked up the company and realized I made a mistake. Again, DON'T give them your info. If you want to update your Yellow Pages listing, call Yellow Pages directly! (It still remains that I don't think it's a scam but this is just my opinion).

Funny, you speak of Yellow Pages... But the women I spoke to (5 minutes ago) told me she is from BMO and that they have new product on which I could be interested.  I politely asked to call back after 5PM (I'm at work, so easy to understand, and it gives me time to make some verification on the phone number).  Good thing I did !2 weeks between last Yellow Page comment and my BMO call... They, scammers, switch strategy ?I don't think she will call back, but if she does, I'll make sure to take as much info as I can.  I'll keep you posted.

This (514) 315-6779 number looks as if it is on a trunk, and that is why they get dead air, actually it connects and hangs up within 3 seconds.I just got a call from this number and did some digging.  They were looking to "verify" my information, claiming they were from Yellow Pages Group. They didn't have any information to verify to me that they were yellow pages group. THis is why I became suspiciose.  I asked for a number to call them back at, she gave me another yellow pages group real 800 number in which I called.  They did know this was going on, and complimented me on catching on.   This telemarketer claiming they are yellow pages group is trying to collect information, and verify's who has authority at the business they call ( Yes Your cell might be listed as a business number) once they verify the info, well, collect it, they send a bill.  Not sure what they actually do, if anything, but it is a scam.
