I had a missed call on my phone today (June 16, 2014) from (506) 800-5111.  They didn't leave a message so I called the number back.  I received a recorded greeting that said, "Please hold and a customer service representative will be with you shortly."  When the woman came on the line, and gave her pitch, I quickly realized this was a call center contracted by a car dealership.  The dealership in this case was Brett Chevrolet.  I spoke with the woman to get more information.  They are hired to call the dealership's customers on behalf of dealership to arrange appointments for customers to bring their cars in for a 'free' appraisal in efforts to lure customers into trading in their vehicles for a newer - and likely more expensive - vehicle.  She said it was at a very competitive interest rate, with a cheaper car payment.  No doubt cheaper but the term would most definitely be longer and have hidden fees.  I declined the offer.  

Kids called me from this number, i'm guessing it is an online burner number. sounded like they were trying to impersonate a "BILL" from Bell Aliant.

Called several times since last week, when I picked up no one is answering.

Turns out to be a 3'rd party caller on behalf of Mazda Canada - trying to set up appointment for promotion.  I did get a supporting letter in the mail, so probably legit - just annoying.

I have been receiving calls from this number for the last week, at varying time of day.  The first time I answered this call was just a few minutes ago - no one answered when I picked up.I called back the number and there is just a message saying the office is now closed and gives operational times in EST (eastern time).  The 506 area code is for NB, which is AST (atlantic time).  The voicemail does not indicated the name of the company.

That number just called me today but I didn't pick up. Thanks for the information. - in Saint John
