There is nothing they can get off your transcripts. I dont know why they said free courses but what they will do is see if there are any transferable credits from your degree so you can be exempt from courses you had already taken. If you dont want them to call you have to tell them not to call. Dont pretend your interested in something your not. I guarantee if you tell them to never call you again they wont. If you want a degree then Meritus really is a good way to get one because they are one of very few online universities that are accredited. ( I did my research) As for getting your information. It doesn't come from the sky. You filled out something that said you were interested in furthering your education.

I got a call from them after I did my homework. I am interested to get my MBA as this was dictated from my employer. I find out that they are accredited in New Brunswick, I have not started yet as I am not totally convinced online is for me. However, I dont really care if it is a private or public company, if they offer a program that will help me in my career who really cares if it is making profit. Like I said my concern is that I need to go to a classroom as I have a hard time to do something without any personal interaction.  Even though the nice lady explain to me that she will work with me to get through the first class. I explain that I really need to physical interaction with others in the class. I am looking at Uof Toronto and planning to start in September. My boss will give me the afternoons office for 3 days a week to get the MBA so hoping to have my degree in 2 years.

From Toronto again

I just noticed that Yellowpages lists them as Meritus University in NB. Sounds like a scam to me!http://www.yellowpages.ca/bus/New-Brunswick/M ... l?adid=01164800
