We've gotten several calls from somebody who says she can offer lower rates on credit accounts. Not only have we gotten these calls on our home phone, this caller is now calling our cell phone and eating into our limited minutes. If you see this number on your caller ID, just ignore it. I wish we knew who was calling so we could complain to the correct authorities, but this appears to be a number sourced in New Brunswick, Canada. Of course, with portable numbers these days, these calls could be coming from anywhere. When I called back, I was told the number was in service, both in English and in French, so it's a real Canadian number, just not one that belongs to a real person or company. The Lord only knows what kind of a scam is being tried.
