Received a call yesterday from this number - VIZEX PAYMENT CANADA. They want to tell you how you are losing so much money from your debit/credit terminal because the rates have been lowered "30%". After a long chat, and telling them what I was paying in % for VISA, MC, and my terminal rental rate, all to which I got an "Oh my, that's WAY too much!" During the call there was a loud cheer in the background and clapping, and I remarked that someone must have sold a contract. The fellow put me on hold, and next thing I know I'm talking to the supervisor, who spoke better english. He continued the talk about how they needed my statement with merchant info blotted out. I refused to send them my statement with information blackened out. He "needed that" so they would know what kind of ticket amount we had so he could go to other companies and get rates for me (so kind of him). I pressed that we are a seasonal business, and our current statement is for off season, which doesn't give a good idea of average transactions. He had remarked that it would depend on if we were seasonal, etc. I said give me a quote for seasonal business, to which he said he couldn't because he needed my statement again... I told him flat out I wasn't going to give him anything, and I'd have to think about it, but not to call me, I'd call him. After researching a bit, i found others that had the same issue, and it seems they try and steer you to Elavon/Nova/Tangerine processing companies. We used to be with Tangerine, and they raked us over the coals in terms of fees. We switched to another provided through CFIB and our bank, and will save the contract cancellation fee they charged us within the year (even though we had not renewed our contract and it was at an end.) Stay away from Tangerine at all costs, from personal experience - they don't process their own credit card sales, and so they ding you, and their third party processor dings you, so you pay twice the fees, and their terminal fees were double what we are paying now. If they wanted my business, they should have treated their customer better in the first place. Now that I've told the guy not to call, we are being called by one of the other 3 "helpful" companies that want to save us money (all connected with Tangerine and friends). Only 3 calls today, and no one answers when you pick up... Gotta love autodialers.

I recieved a call from this number at our business. ?I answered it and the caller asked for the store owner. He asked about my credit and debit machine. I told him that I'm not interested in his information that he's providing me. He yelled at me "I'm not trying to sell you anything". He started talking about reducing rates by 20%-30%. He kept saying that he's not trying to sell me anything. So I just hung up on him. I think they're calling to fraud. Don't Give Any Information!!!
