A boy called from this number claiming to be my grandson that was in detention from an accident while drinking. He wanted me to send $1800 and call a lawyer at this number. He said he was in Anderson Missouri and the number is a land line in Quebec Canada. When I asked him why he did not sound like my grandson he said he had a bad cold, I then asked him his sisters name and at that point he hung up.

My parents got a call from this number yesterday and he pretended that he was their grandson.  And that he needed $2800 because he was in a car accident and in jail in Quebec Canada and to send the money through Western Union.  He put on another person pretending to be his lawyer.  He also said please don't tell Mom and Dad.

My mother just got a similiar call to this today. ?Interestingly enough, so did her neighbor (within 1/2 hour) who happens to share an identical name.  The caller knew the name of the grandchild in both instances.  We live in the midwest.  Pretty frightening stuff.
