Another hit. Didn't bother answering it.

I received three calls in a row within minutes of each other.Call 1: I answered and nobody responded and I hung up.Call 2: I answered and nobody responded.  I tried a few hellos before hanging up.Call 3: they said is this <my name>?           I said yes and they hung up.

Call on my business line, certainly available to a few SSL vendors.Remember, not hearing anything generally means a predictive dialer that's not doing its job very well. Put 'em on hold and let them hear YOUR empty line. :)

Wow - I'm still laughing at this guy.  First he asked for our CFO by name, so I began with my usual, "Sure, can I tell her who's calling?... and who are you with?... and what is it regarding?" He eventually gave me Chris, with Box Pilot, but in between he must have said four times that he would take her voicemail, or that voicemail was fine. Why would someone rather talk to a voicemail if I'm leading them to beleive that they are about to speak with the actual person? It was fishy enough for me to ask what the voicemail message would be regarding... and he tried to tell me that he didn't know!!! I couldn't keep myself from giggling out loud, but it did not stop him from insisting that I send him to her voicemail... and that he was not sure what the message would be!  It was so silly that I could barely get out the words, "OK... BEEP!" before I hung up on him.

actually had a person that asked for someone who worked here's voice mail to leave an automated message.  I don't think so....

A call came into my personal cell phone, asking for my business partner by name.  We used my cell phone number nearly 3 years ago, as we were setting up the business, but not since.

My partner wasn't available, so the caller asked for voicemail.  I told him I'm the voicemail, and he hung up.
