Just had this number call my ex mother in law. Turns out same BS story about it being a Canada Post worker (illegal by the way on a federal level since Canada post employees are government workers). My ex mother in law gave them my information thinking she was doing me a favor by getting a cheque sent to my from work. But this wasn't the case. I called distributel and got the number to their LEA department +1 855-825-3312 where they work with you to file a fraud complaint and even the same line they use with the police to give them information about pending investigations. I will be filing a lawsuit action against whoever owns this number, as well as my work and my mother in law, I suggest you all do the same and go for a class action lawsuit. Granted I will admit I owe easy home and am in the process of repaying my debt, the point is this company's actions are illegal and we all have rights whether in debt or not.

A woman called asking if she had reached [my previous company's name]. I said no, that this is my personal cell number. She asked if [my previous company's name] was a software company and when I said no, she hung up.

Said they had a package from Stateside and that I owed $40 in duties.Asked who the sender was and they did not have that information in thier database but they could contact Delivery and find out from them.Said they would call back.Went to Distributel site and got a local contact number to ask them:ww w.distributel.net/distributel-residentiel_en.htmThey said if I get a callback, to call Distributel immediately after and provide them with MY phone number so they could trace and find out who's making the calls.
