I'm pretty sure this is just a routing number - my friend just called my land line from a Skype account and this is the number that came up.That would explain why you can't phone it back.  And that would also be why it can't be blocked.

I have recieved numerous calls from this number in the past months.  I just recieved another, and I'm sick of it.  I am in Alaska and also have ACS.  They do, here on the peninsula have selective number block and I've now blocked that number.  I called the customer service # found on www.bell.ca website.  The lady said she'd never heard any complaints about it before...blah!  I blocked the number, and hope it works.

I keep getting these calls as well.  They hang up when I answer.  I called back and it just kept ringing on the other end.

I'm in Homer, Alaska. I got a call from this number about an hour ago. No one there. I hung up before a telemarketer could pick up, if there was one. The number is supposedly listed as the New Zealand consulate in Toronto, but that's not likely. On a similar web site people are being encouraged to contact the carrier for (416) Bell Canada:"I got this address off their web-site www.bell.ca.Office of the Manager,P.O. Box 920, Station A,Toronto, OntarioM5W 1G5EVERYONE please send a letter of complaint to this address. Maybe we can get the calls to stop."I spoke with the Anchorage offices of Alaska Fraternal Order of Peace Officers and AK Police Officers A**'n, who employ the same telemarketers from Alaska, are not currently calling people, and when they do it's for tickets to a benefit performance of some sort in Anchorage. I also called the Public Safety Employees A**'n in Anchorage,  who employ a telemarketer from NJ, who calls on Wednesdays only, I didn't ask about what.  The I told them about these (416) jokers.  None of them had heard about them, and said there are a lot of scams around. They are keeping lists of such numbers and will look into shutting them down.I suggest you follow the advice of contacting Bell Canada.
