I apologize for the delay in responding.  We strive for a 100% response
rate within 48 hours, however, due to an overwhelming amount of
inquiries, we have experienced some temporary delays.  Your patience has
been greatly appreciated.

I can certainly understand how frustrating these calls can be and I will
do everything I can to help you.

Many telemarketing companies use automatic dialers, which dial several
numbers at a time.  When the automatic dialer receives an answer at your
residence, it searches for a free client representative to speak to you.
When there are none available, you hear dead air.  Sometimes you will
hear an intermittent beep that tells you that you are on hold.

Next time you receive this type of unsolicited call, wait until a
representative comes on the line and then say to the caller "REMOVE ME
FROM YOUR LISTS & DO NOT CALL AGAIN".  By law, those placing
telemarketing calls must comply with your request not to be contacted
again. Your name and number must be removed from their telephone lists
within 30 days.  A 'do not call' request remains in effect for 3 years.

80% of the telemarketing companies in Canada are members of the Canadian
Direct Marketing Association. David, to remove your name and number from
member lists, you can call them directly at (416) 391-2362 or via their
web site at this address:

I hope this information is helpful.  If you have additional questions or
concerns, please don't hesitate to send another e-mail.  We appreciate
you using Bell Canada's eContact Centre and I look forward to serving
you again.

Thank you,

Sick of it

Have dealt with this yayhoo before, but today he actually answered after I picked up and said "Are you going to answer this time or not?" He asked for the owner of our business. He hung up in the middle of me asking why he keeps calling. Trying to call the number back gets nothing, as the phone number he is calling from does not receive incoming calls. I am wondering how this harassment is legal?

Just got a call from this number and no one there

annoyed

I too live in AK and I also get many calls from these a-holes. Twice they've claimed to be the AK State Troopers asking for donated money. I told them I didn't have any and to quit calling. They called back in an hour and asked my mom for money. Now they just call and hang up all the time. I wish they'd stay on the phone long enough for me to really tell them how I feel.

I get calls from this number all the time, most of the time my husband and I are at work. But I get calls on saturday morning...no one there. I even tried calling it back and it rang and rang and rang, which makes me even more angry. if this number comes up and someone is talking about the alaska state troopers (which ive had that call before) im most positive its a scam. i work for the troopers. i wonder if they hearing it ringing when you call it back....i bet thats annoying, now they know how it feels.
