Just got a call from this number... I said 'Hello' a couple times, then there was a click and a robotic "Good-bye".  Probably checking that my phone number is valid.

Bell Canada was fined C$1,300,000 by CRTC for violating Do Not Call List rules by way of what Bell Canada called "outside call centres".  Is GT Group Telecom one of those companies Bell Canada calls an "outside call centre" ?

When fines like this are imposed on organizations which so blatantly violate people's privacy, at least half of the money should be distributed to the victims of the organization's greed (which is what corporate profit is all about) the same way money is distributed to victims who are party to a class action law suit.
