I have been receiving these calls for near a month from both the 0553 and 0554 numbers. The company is indeed IRISTEL www.iristel.ca  I have no idea what these people actually do as the company does sound quit fishy. You can call this idiot (416) 299-4521 who barely speaks proper English and he'll dabble around anything you say about the company and your complaint and not give you his name but will provide you with a so called customer service number to some chick in Romania using a 416 number, who seems to be afraid to give out information or I was being real hard on the phone she could of been scared thinking I was going to Matrix through it into her home as that is where she works from!? Apparently these numbers are all run from VOIP Telephones. Don?t quote me on the spelling...I have already sent a complaint to the CRTC and funny the Police have no clue what to do with this, but take information...Like thats going to help, way to use up my tax dollars on nothing!Call this company folks and rip them apart, hell I might even take an Irate stroll on down there myself if this doesn't stop.What?s IRIS Tel's response on this, apparently they are aware and cannot give out the information to who is doing this, they know who the numbers are listed too and have had many complaints, they claim to be looking into the matter, numbers you call for they customer service people seem like they are withholding information and afraid to talk !? Not sure what?s going on here or what kind of telecommunication scam this could be. The company is listed through Bell and Rogers and Global and IRIS  Tel to some third party individual who they seem to be protecting from my understanding. I tell you one thing right now, at 6'6" 340 solid these guys are going to need some protecting if this keeps happening.Log your calls in with your local police and give these numbers a call for these IRIS TEL idiots and let them know the police are aware of the situation.This is harassment folks ,hit em where it hurts. I have no idea why you call this number (416) 299-4521 get some stupid guy in Russia who then gives you a number to Beatrice in Romania (416) 848-9804 customer care who sounds like she has a pistol at her head speaking to you scared to tell you information in some basement sewer sitting at a metal desk with one dim light above her head??..Not sure what weird scamming ring is going on here, hope when you call them they can't trace your number and get your information through Bell or Rogers on your account as they are tapped through them basically cause that would be just nuts, but these days who knows, they are using VOIP phones which are through the internet . VoIP services convert your voice into a digital signal that travels over the Internet. If they are calling your phone number, the signal is converted to a regular telephone signal before it reaches the destination. VoIP can allow you to make a call directly from a computer, a special VoIP phone, or a traditional phone connected to a special adapter. In addition, wireless "hot spots" in locations such as airports, parks, and cafes allow you to connect to the Internet and may enable you to use VoIP service wirelessly. IRIS Tel has subscribed the two numbers calling people to an individual whom they wish not to share information and claim they cannot stop the calls themselves?.?? If thet are the provider then this is not making any sense to me?Give the Markham Office a ring and see where you get? I?ll be headed down there in person soon enough and be back to note my outcome!

416  342-6188  Nuisance calls from ...they say Bell.  I called Bell ...Ian customer service rep...answered and I asked for his supervisor and I was forever waiting for him to call and I finally hung up and called another Bell number....it is not Bell and you should call Phone Busters about this number... Ian sounded like a pa**ie that is calling from this number.Today Oct.12  a call from (416) 907-0553 came and the same thing....pa**ie calling but when you do a call back to find out the company name to get taken offf the calling list, you get an operator telling you to put your pin number in.....as if!!!!!!!!  These calls are as stupid as the callers....  Call Phone Busters...even Bell does not know who these people are and  you should let the police take care of it.

I have recieved the same calls up to 3 times a day and it is very frustrating.  

I am bringing this to the next level and hope that you all will do the same.

I filled out a complaint about the number.  The CRTC has regulated that when you cannot contact the company on your own to be put on the do not solicit list that your phone company is mandated to do so on your behalf.  I spent about an hour on the phone with Rogers who informed me that they have no such process in place.  Afterwards I wrote to the CRTC explaining the calls, referencing this website, and then describing how frustrating it is to recieve these calls and not be able to do anything about it.  

Please join the cause and write to the CRTC at the above link to help get this issue solved.  There are rules protecting us... just no one to enforce the rules.  The CRTC will have to step up to the plate if they recieve enough mail about it.

It only takes a minute or two to write a quick email so please help to be part of the solution.
