I would like to know how you made out with that visit from duct cleaning service. I too was finally forced to go that route.  5 and 6 calls a day.... I couldn't take it any more.  My appointment was for today.  I got a picture of the license plate.  The two men in the big white truck (no company name or any other identifying marks on the truck) both gave me false names and a false phone number for their 'boss'.  I am contemplating a call to the police.  This truck showed up with two unidentified men, no credentials, false names, etc and wanted to come into my home!  Are they casing the joint for a robbery?  What is going on here?  Where is our law enforcement? (Forget the CRTC !  they are useless and refusing to do anything about this). Both these men were reasonably polite... did not seem at all surprised that I was only interested in who they worked for.... and they both expressed sympathy with our problem of harassing phone calls... but claimed no responsibility for it.  I told them they WERE responsible because they were accepting the contacts from these call centers... and I told him that I was on the internet, encouraging  everyone else to to the same thing....to waste the time of the 'bottom' of the chain.... those who get work via this harassment.  I believe that only then will we see this problem go away.Any ideas on what else we can do?

Same old relentless duct cleaning company that calls themselves Metro Home Services.  But when you call Metro Home Services to complain the poor man says it's not his company and that people are calling him and yelling at him... I actually feel sorry for the guy because the air duct company is using his company name.
They typically call 4 to 5 times a week; I constantly ask them to remove my name from their mailing list.

Today I booked an appointment and will have my camera ready when they show up to take their picture and picture of the license plate to formally lodge a complaint with the police.

I have basically been harassed into making this appointment to get them off of my back and I am going to make sure the police know about it.

Consider turning the tables on these ruthless people... make an appointment and get your camera ready!
