Got the same call 3 times today Sunday from #(416) 861-0870.
When I called back got the following message :
"the number is not in service"

About the consumer contact. they are NOT telemarketers, they are just people who work for companies like rogers, TD Canada Trust, Staples and etc...educate yourself people. Just do the quick survey and get it done and over with, it helps better the products and services you use, without them this world would be a mess.

This number apparently feeds through a variety of different counterparties, likely channelling out of town and out of country companies using a calling card, or other routed service.

Obviously some of those calling from this number may be questionable, scammers/debt-collectors/telemarketers...but I've recently received a valid call from a known U.S. based customer who purchased something from our business during the call from this number.

So...be on guard but don't be completely surprised if it's a legit call. Perhaps just let it go to voice message and followup later.

I get a call almost every night on my cell phone #.  I have yet to pick it up..missed it every time.  Thank god for the new DO NOT CALL hotline.  https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca   I have added my number to the list.  Its suppose to work in 30 days.  Hopefully that will put an end to the uneccessary and unwanted calls!!!
