They pretend to be part of the yellow Pages group, and make you believe that you are already a client, and they only want to renew the contract. I told them point blank, that everything has to be in writing, nothing is done over the phone, and I still had difficult time getting rid of them.

They try to scam me.

VERY RUDE AND ABUSIVE man said his name was Ranjeet. Said that I contacted him to set something up with 411.ca & if I wanted the calls to stop then I should stop sending in requests! (which I never did) Then tried to say that someone else using my name sent in a request. Letting him know I was reporting this number & his abusive behavior was the only way to get rid of him yelling at me!

When this number called, I answered, and told the woman not to call me ever again, as she called me "Sir". My voice has never been mistaken as male before!!!! Just very rude and I have zero interest in these kinds of calls, irregardless of their legitimacy.

was called by this number just now. she said she had snow removal contracts waiting for me 3400 people waitig. i asked for and office and she said in toronto. i live in edmonton. she said $60 for edmonton or $100 for the GEA. I told her i will call her back. she gave me an extention #. I use to do cold calling. Just tell them you want to be taken off there list. By law they have to do it. If they dont then legal action can be taken for harrasing you. be polite and honest. Another easy was is give them a phony credit card #. once it dont clear the wiĺ leave you alone. Hope this helps!

Scammed... This product doesnt work. I was told over three thousand people looked for a plumber in the GTA in the last 30 days. Was sold a package at $120 for the month. I did not receive one call about work, just 100 calls from other companies trying to sell me more things.
After doing a reverse look up on there telephone number both the 416 and 866 numbers I noticed that they have a long list of unhappy customers. Save your money and dont waste it on this company.

They aren't pretending, google "Yellow Pages buys 411.ca", and see for yourself.

Called and left message claiming to be from 411.

I just got this same call. Not sure if it is a scam or not but I just posted on KIJIJI last night and looking at the comments I am thinking scam. The only thing is the number checks out so not sure. Either way I told him I would pass.

They found me through my business website. They are representing 411.ca. Said that I would be the ONLY person in Ontario on the 411.ca list that would be at the TOP of the search engine if I paid $190.00 per month. Said it is $500.00 per month otherwise and businesses are locked in to a 6 month contract at that rate. I would not be bound by a contract but would be required to provide 30 days notice if I decided to pull the listing, which would then lock me in for two months. I have gone to 411.ca and registered my business listing for FREE. There are many others working for the same distribution company as myself in Ontario who are already listed on 411.ca. Nice try though!!

Best way to deal with them and other telemarketing companies, is be nice answering the call, put them on hold tell they give up and close.Also if you have a cell phone,,add them to your rejecting list you will never hear from the again.

We have a business registered with them and the woman on the phone said she could not find it with the phone # she called me on...SCAM! I said I can see it listed on 'your' site right in front of me, she replied...ummmm, no I can't see it. I told her it was a scam and hung up.
