Its a telemarketer .... theyre basically contracted by other individuals or companies to call and pester, and to see if youre interested, and then setup a contact for the person who contracted them.When i receive these clals now, i get all the relevant information i need and i report them on the "National Do Not Call List" website. I registered my numbers a long time ago, and it seems the government is not doing anything to enforce it, so now i make OFFICIAL complaints. The website will tell you what info you need to send to document it (its very simple), and i just ask the telemarketer for all the info, then tell them that i am on the DNCL, and that they should not call me again, and that i am reporting them for violation, and each incident is punishable with a fine.If we all started reporting these, and fines became hefty enough, then maybe it would stop .....
