been receiving calls from this number hundreds of times. doesn,t sound like a fax machine, just a beep-beep-beep, like a computer is trying to access my computer. this is the first time a phone number actually appeared on our call display-would like them to stop doing this immediately. you'd think if this was a fax machine, they'd figure out they had a LOT of wrong numbers when none of their faxes went through. I personally thing its trying to fish our computer systems. fortunately, we shut our down when its not in use. you may want to do the same just for added protection.

Telus is one of the reasons I'm getting spam faxes on my phone line.Problems got started when just within a month into my service, I had to use my computer to fax something to my office.Now I don't have a home business, or a fax machine. Just a computer program called: Norton Winfax.A few days after, I start getting all these faxes. I find the telus number to report these (310-1000) and I started complaining.Oct 7th 2005 (At 0940 - 0944)Do *57, call back 310-1000 (option 1, 1) and let them know.Spoke with Krista, Karen, Brandy, Jessica +1 866-617-6355to stop unwanted faxes and to send warning letter about this number being a res number. I did it for both numbers above.Told Krista I'm getting faxes now all of a sudden. She asked if I've faxed anything from my home number. I say yes, I did. Asked if I have a fax machine, I told her no, just a computer program. (and it was a local call) She told me to do the above (*57, then report number to 310-1000) they would get the problem resolved.I believe Telus monitored for fax signals and put those numbers on a database. I also believe that list was sold. Why else would a telus rep ask if I faxed anything? what does it matter? Unless I'm right about this.Not only that, I had complained almost daily, and Telus was supposed to put in complaint, that never got done for months. I have all the calls complaining to telus documented, and who I spoke to. They had every excuse why this and why they couldn't.No matter how much I complained, this was never resolved. Not only that, but even after I cancelled with Telus (Which is what most of you should do) it took them over a year to stop billing me for service I wasn't using.Nothing was done about it. It seemed the more I complained, the more faxes I got.Telus sucks, and they are a bunch of sell-outs. I think they made alot of money doing this. also after I left telus:Telus called today (July 24, 2007) to get me back. I complained about faxes, changes to the Voice mail, and slowly losing bandwidth. Girl offered many things (started with: $50 off our current bill, then reduction in costs for phone, then reduction in internet, then both, then $300 gift card, then a computer.). The items and offers kept piling up. she then offered me a garentee that there wouldn't be anymore faxes. I told her if she could do that, they should have done that in the first place - when I was complaining daily. telus didn't. Now telus says they are willing to do it - too freaking late.I flat out told her she could offer me 5 computers, and the whole package for free, and I wouldn't come back. I basically told her someone high up at telus got greedy and now they are paying for it. I told her Telus sold my number to be spammed by faxes and my number is still being passed on from spammer fax, to the next. She Never corrected me on this.I told her unless telus smartened up, I won't come back. I told her they can't buy me that easy.I last told her she needs to relay this complaint to someone with athority. I put in a complaint to the CRTC.Alot of good that did. I won't ever go back to telus, and I believe that's the only way to send these spamming jerks a clear message.

Pure harrassment. Impossible to stop.My parents nad I have been receiving calls/fax attempts from this number at all hours. They are in their 80's and are terribly inconvenienced by this - do not even have a fax, and when they finaly get to the phone just get a series of beep beeps, like someone is trying to fax to them.All attempts to call/fax them have failed. The phone company has failed to be of any help to stop it.
