They are still sending letters with fake checks (mine was drawn on Progressive Direct Insurance Co in Ohio) stating I won $125,000 in the International Shoppers Customer Compensation and Appreciation Lottery Bonanza.  They are asking to call (416) 828-7730.  

The check  is to "assist" me to pay the tax amount on the winning to a Government tax agent in the United Kingdom (and now comes the rip-off ) through Western Union.  Believe me, government tax agents do not collect via Western Union.

This is a scam.  What I do not understand is, how these gangsters are still able to use the same phone number for over a year.

I got a letter with a fake check in it saying to call this number to confirm and send by Western Union more money to them to pay taxes owed on the winnings. A pure ripoff scam
