What can be done about these annoying callers? Are they checking to see if I'm home so they can figure out when to rob me? A computer generated calling system as a precursor for a live person to call me when I am likely to be at home? Somebody STOP these buggers!

these calls about duct cleaning are from a telemarketer based in Karachi Pakistan. I know this because Market Place had a program on it Friday night and funny enough they managed to track them down before the CRTC or police. The CRTC said in an interview with Market Place, that their hands are tied when they have no legit phone number to call and it becomes a matter for the police. Why do we even have a Do Not Call List if the CRTC can't do anything about these scammers?

I was housesitting and they called about duct cleaning and I asked them not to call again. They called again today and he asked for the homeowner i said she isnt here and he said who are you and I said that is none of your business and hung up. He called back 2 minutes later and said why dont you go back where you came from and btw this was a **** or indian so who is in the wrong country?
