Got a call this Thursday morning Aug 23/12 and said to call in regards to file # xxx
They tried to tell me that i owed money to xxx but I had never dealt with that company and found out later he had the wrong person when he called me

Yeah, same here and I'm in Ottawa too, although my voicemail  says I have a message but when I check it nothing is said.  WEIRD!!  I also got another call but the number was (416) 645-2105 and it's the same thing!!!

I was getting calls from this number at least 3-4 times a day.... so I read some of the stuff here that you guys wrote and then I wrote them a nasty gram... if that doesn't get through I have talked to the consumer services canada and they told me if they don't stop with the email that they will make them stop.... they were just eating up my minutes when I first started to get the calls because I would answer and no one would be there... so I stopped answering after the third call... at first I thought it was someone trying to get in touch with me but my phone kept dropping but I even tried that number from my house phone number and there was still no one there or as some of you said it rang busy.... I have had enough of that so I will see how the email goes and thank you guys for the information regarding where the number was from....

They call me a bunch of times too. Especially when I'm in class. I answered once and it said "you are now being connected to an emergency hotline, please stay online to stay connected, and stuff like that" and then I just hung up. This is my first cell and it's so annoying...

I received a call on June 5th at 7:15 in the morning. Are there any laws to protect us from this kind of harassment?

CBV Collections, they will harass you to NO END! Called the 800 # and had myself removed, we'll see if it works...

they are calling me since yesterday have no debts or anything, did not answer and will not answer after what i see on here i don't want them to call me 6-7 times a day
