Got a call this Thursday morning Aug 23/12 and said to call in regards to file # xxx
They tried to tell me that i owed money to xxx but I had never dealt with that company and found out later he had the wrong person when he called me

I've gotten so many calls from this number, the one time I answered it was a recorded message looking for my husband, to "press 1 if this is *person*".  I pressed 1, wanting to find out what this was, and the dude apparently couldn't hear me.  If it is Roger's, the only reason I can see them looking for him is because of a cell phone he had FOUR YEARS AGO that was stolen.  Rogers told us that it was taken care of, and this would be the first we've heard of it since.August 13th I got 4 calls from themAugust 14th I got 7 calls from them.So far today we're at 3 and it's hardly noon !!

This number kept coming up on my call display for months on end, and as others have stated, you cannot call back the number. Now my parents are getting the same annoying phone calls. I just sent them a nasty email as well, hoping they will get the picture...
It's great that there's a site like this to check all these weird numbers. I never answer any number that I don't know. I figure if it's important enough, they will call back.

I'm right there with all of you.I received about 8 phone calls from this number in the past 2 days.When I called there was noone on the line & the system hands up.None of the 1 888 or 1 800 numbers above did anything for me but waste more of my time.I've called them both & they don't have my phone number in their files. If someone finds whose behind this, please share. I'll be all over them! MC

collection agency kept calling for months for a stacy. i kept telling them there was no one here by that name and to stop calling.they just kept calling.
I called The ministry of Government and Consumer Services, Consumer Protection Branch,5775 Younge st, suite 1500,Toronto m7a 2e5, (416) 326-8800 or 1 +1 800-889-9768 and give your story and follow their instructions and for me there was no more calls from that collection agency, I also recieved a call from the company boss and a apology for their harassment. Now i am recieving calls from another collection agency asking for someone else and i now have to deal with them. it never ends i think they pass your phone no. around in their industry like e-mails

For everyone getting this number calling them it is annoying.  Call CBV Collections and ask for Richard McDonald or Scott Mcillroy they are managers and they can straighten it out.  If this fails call Consume rProtection Agency and file a complaint at The ministry of Government and Consumer Services, Consumer Protection Branch,5775 Younge st, suite 1500,Toronto m7a 2e5, (416) 326-8800 or 1 +1 800-889-9768.  If you speak with any rude people at CBV get their name and add that to your complaint.  When I spoke with Richard McDonald and explained that I was getting calls for a person that doesnt have this number any more and the behaviour of the orginal person I spoke with that was very rude he was quick to help and only wished I had the name of who I spoke with so he could have dealt with that as well.  Best of luck.

This number has called me a few times.  I've been ignoring it so far but would like to know what's up with it.
