Got a call this Thursday morning Aug 23/12 and said to call in regards to file # xxx
They tried to tell me that i owed money to xxx but I had never dealt with that company and found out later he had the wrong person when he called me

called may 15/08 at 7:49 am and may 16/08 at 7:18 am with no answer when the phone was answered on may16/08. however on may 15/08 the recording said wait while being transferred. i hung up immedicately.

who called ?

I've gotten so many calls from this number, the one time I answered it was a recorded message looking for my husband, to "press 1 if this is *person*".  I pressed 1, wanting to find out what this was, and the dude apparently couldn't hear me.  If it is Roger's, the only reason I can see them looking for him is because of a cell phone he had FOUR YEARS AGO that was stolen.  Rogers told us that it was taken care of, and this would be the first we've heard of it since.August 13th I got 4 calls from themAugust 14th I got 7 calls from them.So far today we're at 3 and it's hardly noon !!

calls can be made in ontario starting 7am till 9pm...that's the law

I had been receiving calls (up to 10 per day) from a bogus US collection agency - 1-+1 877-482-7697 for the last few months.  When that number eventually stopped calling I started receiving calls from this one. They would just hang up when I picked up. One has to wonder if these two companies are working together.I would suggest not to reveal any information to anyone calling from this number as they are likely fraudsters like the other ''collection agency''.  Legit collection agencies must obey certain government imposed restrictions (like not calling more than once a day and only during business hours and not revealing any information to anyone but the person they wish to talk to).

This number called me repeatedly and no one was ever on the phone. When you would call it back it would just hang up. I found out through Bell that it is CBV Collections. The toll free Toronto # to call them back is 1-+1 888-311-1121. Their website is www.cbvcollections.com. I called them and they were calling because of a Rogers account (not mine, someone else who used to have my phone number), but they collect on behalf on many companies. They took me off their calling list and are not calling anymore.
