That would work fine except when you have several friends who call with cellphones that do not display caller name or number. I'd rather make telemarketing a hanging offense. Damn the motherf*ckers.

Um, how about just don't answer the damn phone if the # is one you don't recognize - problem solved...sheesh !

oh yeah, cause that really works - if anything they just think you are out and try calling again later. Best thing you can do is thell them in no uncertain terms that you are not interested and to remove your details from their list.

I have submitted a complaint also and have let the CRTC have it about this number and its ability to run amok on our phone lines. As Canadians, we deserve better and they need to really examine who these callers are and what they are doing. I understand it's just a phone call, but the fact they are misrepresenting themselves, not listening to people who tell them that they are NOT interested, do not take steps to remove us from their lists and openly deceive small children is UNACCEPTABLE. We shall see if this caller continues harassing me. I moved in to my place 1 1/2 months ago and so far am getting calls from this number and another number claiming to be my "credit card company" that is giving me a "2nd and final notice to lower my interest rate on my "credit card"" and to press "1" for a live agent. REALLY? If you were my credit card company, which you are not, you would have sent me written material in the mail and not harassing me every month. But that's another story, which I also complained about.

I got a call from (416) 661-7619. The Owner is a Tele Marketing Company. Located at Bloor and Young street Toronto. They Atarted the Conversation on Air Duct and when I said I will sue you guys on harassment inspite of me telling them many times not to call me. The Guy says - I too am fighting a case no worries I will fight your case as well. Feel free to sue me. The guy was a Dumb head.

This people called while I was outside. My daughter answered and the person kept asking her what was her name and telling her he wanted to be "a friend". She ended the call and they called again twice. So not only this is a scam but they are also pedophiles ...  I should call the cops but most likely they are faking the call id so there is no point.
