Very annoying INDEED!

I received about 3 calls from this number within a week with silence on the other end. On Friday, when this number called again it was somebody trying to sell me the National Post newspaper. (I was a subscriber in the past at the number they called.)I assume they have a computer calling many many numbers (either from a list or just sequentially) constantly. When somebody answers the phone a connection is made to an operator who tries to sell you the National Post, or maybe something else depending upon what they know about you or who their clients are.If no operator happens to be available at that time, you just get silence. What do they care? It's much more efficient for them this way.

Me too. But then it makes me wonder - are they the one's that have set up this online posting to read people's reactions just for kicks...predicting we would google the number land on this site "they created" and ....Or maybe that's just my crazy imagination talking. None the less - it is very annoying - grow up.

Just got called again. It's the NATIONAL POST. Respond to them however you wish.

Yup everyday,, 3 times per day..its driving me nuts.i pick up ..no answer..this has to stop..if the National Post is involved then we need to raise this issue with them..Toronto Star and TV would love a story like that...Can we confirm that they are doing this on behalf of the National Post?HELP!!!
